Walter Taylor Bridge and Jack Pesch Bridge inspection works

The maintenance works on the Walter Taylor Bridge were undertaken to ensure the longevity of the carriageway, and the involved construction activities included:

  • lifting of the Walter Taylor Bridge to provide access to the bearings
  • installation of the new bearings and lowering of the bridge

The maintenance works on the Jack Pesch bridge were undertaken to inspect and clean the cable stays. The cable stays provide support to the deck of the bridge and are key to the safe operation of the structure.

Council would like to thank the community for their patience while we completed this important work.
