Coronavirus: Council updates and impacts

The personal safety of Brisbane residents and visitors is our top priority.

Brisbane City Council is working closely with Queensland Health and the Australian Government and will continue to be guided by these agencies on all matters of public health.

As the state’s lead agency on coronavirus, Queensland Health is providing the necessary advice to all Queenslanders including current travel bans, self-quarantine and information on how to best protect yourself and others.

Latest updates

We are monitoring all developments on the virus and its potential impact on our city services, facilities and events.

Whether you want to get to know your local business community better, brush up on your networking skills or get practical advice from business experts, Council has a range of free business workshops and events to help.

Following the State Government’s announcement to end lockdown in Greater Brisbane, the following Brisbane City Council facilities, services and events will reopen where possible from 12pm Thursday, 1 April 2021, in accordance with individual business hours, and Easter holiday hours.
