Are you ready for bushfire season? Join us for a free interactive half-day workshop where you’ll learn about getting ready for bushfire season, fire ecology and what keeps the bush healthy.
You’ll also be doing a walking tour with environmental experts to learn about how bushfires start and grow, and how they impact your local bushland.
Walk away from the workshop with the ability to:
- Observe the health of your local environment
- Identify vegetation types and key habitat
- Understand fuel loads
- Recognise fire history
- Monitor vegetation and wildlife
- Follow regulations in your area.
Catering and supporting materials will be provided for all participants.
This event is being delivered in partnership with Brisbane City Council and supported by the Queensland Fire & Biodiversity Consortium and Get Ready Queensland.
