Experience good design and discover curious spaces at Brisbane Open House Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2024.
Brisbane Open House is back in 2024, bringing with it a wealth of architecture, engineering and history in buildings, spaces, structures and places in and around Brisbane city over the main BOH weekend, now firmly in its new home of mid-July.
The free architecture and culture festival gives you the keys to unlock your city, opening the doors to some of Brisbane's most coveted contemporary commercial spaces, heritage gems and best-kept secrets.
Stay tuned for this year's diverse program announce which will see selected buildings opened for the public with guided and self-guided tours to encourage visitors to explore, re-examine and engage with Brisbane’s built environment.
Some of the highlights from the 2023 event included the Iconic Precinct: Herston Health & Heritage, City Hall, the award-winning Thomas Dixon Centre and Heritage Lanes, as well as the popular Port of Brisbane, Patrick Terminals and Svitzer Tug Base. It also marked the return of residential spaces, with sustainability a key feature in ‘Middle House’ an inter-generational dwelling and 'Our Resilient House' designed for flood and bushfire threat.
Yet to be announced is the annual calendar of events that will form part of the Brisbane Open House 2024 offering, including the annual Villages of Brisbane event, walking tours, a speaker series, workshops and more.
Brisbane Open House is part of the Open House Worldwide network, celebrating good design in 50+ cities around the world.
