The Art of Tea
10:00am to 2:00pm
Suitable for ages 16+
Free
Making tea is an ancient art – long practiced in both China and Japan. If you are interested in the history and tradition of tea and want to experience more than an afternoon ‘cuppa’, then this is the workshop for you. Delight in the subtle delicacy of a green or yellow tea, imbibe the robust taste of a rich red, or experience the delight of a fermented pu-er tea. Whether you prefer earl grey or oolong, we’ll find the tea for you. Learn how tea is made and the proper method to brew your tea of choice. Meet at the Auditorium.
This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community, dedicated to putting the plant back into planet.
Note: This workshop is only available to participants 16 years of age or over.
