Animal rehoming centres | Brisbane City Council

Animal rehoming centres

Brisbane City Council has two animal rehoming centres that house homeless, lost or abandoned animals in a safe environment.

The Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) administers the animal rehoming centres and specialises in the care, shelter and rehoming of cats and dogs.

You can search online to check the dogs or cats available for adoption from Council's animal rehoming centres. Check back in a few days if you can't find the pet of your choice.
