Brisbane's liveability is linked to our natural environment. Our city's approach to sustainable living resulted in it being named Australia's Most Sustainable City in 2014 and 2016 at the Keep Australia Beautiful Australian Sustainable Cities Awards.
Brisbane, Clean, Green, Sustainable 2017-2031 celebrates the significant sustainability and environmental achievements Brisbane City Council has made in partnership with the community, while recognising there is still more to do.
Brisbane. Clean, Green, Sustainable 2017-2031 includes goals across nine themes with 41 priority actions to deliver clean, green and sustainable outcomes across the city.

|Waste and resource recovery||Brisbane will reduce, reuse and recycle waste.|
|WaterSmart City||Brisbane is a resilient, water smart city that uses water sustainability and protects its waterways.|
|Urban forest||Brisbane will value, nurture and protect its urban forest.|
