One of our Brisbane Vision 2031 themes is an ‘active, healthy city’. To support our aspirations under this theme, Brisbane City Council provides hundreds of diverse, free or low-cost and accessible recreational opportunities through its active and healthy programs for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Use this page to find ways to be active and healthy in Brisbane.

Council recognises the Queensland Government Companion Card for any Active Parks, Chillout, GOLD and Gold ‘n’ Kids events/sessions that incur a fee. This allows free participation for anyone accompanying a person with a disability who requires attendant care support.
