Brisbane residents should prepare their property for possible heavy rainfall continuing today, Friday 16 February 2024, as advised by the Bureau of Meteorology.
Residents should secure any loose objects around their homes where possible to reduce the risk of damage to properties.
Residents are also urged to avoid parking underneath treesand to avoid fallen powerlines and report these immediately to Energex on 13 19 62.
Motorists are advised to take care in the wet weather and avoid driving in flood water, particularly in low lying areas. Motorists are advised to pay attention to road closure signage and avoid impacted areas, where possible.

- Darra - 38 Shamrock Road, Darra
- Morningside - 9 Redfern Street, Morningside
- Newmarket - 66 Wilston Road (in carpark off Erneton Street), Newmarket
- Zillmere - 33 Jennings Street, Zillmere
- Lota - 58 Herbert Street, Lota.

Residents can report fallen trees outside their property boundary, or issues with stormwater drains, to Council on 3403 8888.
