Fundraising near malls
Registered charities may collect funds on specific footways adjacent to the Queen Street and Valley Malls. Council regulates fundraising in these areas to ensure pedestrian safety.
When you need a permit
Organisations wanting to fund raise or appeal for donations in public places adjacent to Malls will need to apply for a fundraising permit.
There is no fee for a fundraising permit.
How to apply
1. Supporting documents
Prepare the attachments required for your online application as Word, PDF or jpg files. Required attachments include:
- Registered Charity Certificate
- Certificate of Currency for Public Liability to the value of $20M
- Assignment of day for Street Collection from the Office of Fair Trading.
2. Application for Fundraising Permit
Complete the Application for Fundraising Permit online form and upload your supporting documents.
