- minor upgrades to existing pathways
- installing new park furniture
- drainage works
- vegetation management and landscaping, as required.
Construction impacts
Works will commence from mid-April 2023 and be completed by mid-2023, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Construction activities will generally be undertaken between 6.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday with some Saturday works as required.
Council is committed to keeping the community informed of construction in the area and will provide advance notification for any major impacts and out-of-hours activities.
There will be minor construction noise and increased movement within the City Botanic Gardens during construction.
Workers will access the site through the Albert Street access gates.
Fencing and signs will outline and close-off the construction area and safe pedestrian access around the worksites will be maintained at all times.
The Gardens will remain open as per usual operating hours. Access to specific areas of the Gardens will be restricted whilst works are occurring. We ask that you follow the signage and direction of the on-site team.
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to the local community.
