The basketball court, skate park and playground will remain open throughout construction with works taking place within temporary work sites around the amenities.

Signage and temporary fencing will be in place around work sites for worker and community safety.

These works are planned to start in late November 2023 and be completed in early 2024, weather and site conditions permitting. Works will be under taken intermittently over this time.

Standard work hours are Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 6.30pm. No out-of-hours or weekend works are planned at this stage however we will provide advanced notice if they are required.

Construction impacts

Park users and residents in proximity to the construction area may experience an increase in:

  • noise
  • dust
  • vibration
  • vehicle movements.

Council will work to mitigate any impacts during construction wherever possible.

Some temporary access changes to traffic, road and pathway access will be required. Temporary traffic control will be in place intermittently in the park to guide park users around active machinery and vehicles.

Some tree trimming is required to complete the upgrades safely. Vegetation impacts will be strictly managed in consultation with a qualified arborist and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
